Hi I’m Lisa…

No more second-guessing what to eat or wondering which foods are causing your symptoms. I will help you to navigate the minefield of food intolerances and food sensitivities, and find the answers and support you've been desperately searching for.

My mission is to help you find FOOD FREEDOM, to add as many foods back into your diet as possible so that you can to learn to love food again. Even if you have have tried every diet going, done an intolerance test and tried every supplement under the sun!

I know how it feels. It all started with my third child, a little bundle of joy with a picky palate and a susceptibility to frequent illnesses. Daily hives, energy crashes, some days reacting to bananas and some days he wouldn’t. Some months he would react to shower water and some months he wouldn’t react to anything. He has been diagnosed with allergies to dust and grass. He also has Oral Allergy Syndrome.

Oral allergy syndrome (OAS) is an allergy to one or more usually fresh fruits or vegetables. It is a common food-related allergy in adults and is increasingly diagnosed in older children. Symptoms are often confined to the mouth and develop within a few minutes of eating the food. The allergy is to proteins in the fruit that are like those found in tree (especially birch tree), grass or weed pollens causing hay fever.” (NHS)

It can affect his throat but it’s not usually dangerous, but it was extremely frightening before we knew what it was. My journey has brought me here, and I am dedicated to guiding and supporting you on your path to a healthier, happier and more empowered life as a nutritionist specialising in food intolerances, food sensitivities, and gut health.

Food intolerance testing can be controversial, varies in terms of sensitivity and can create food anxiety without the support of a health professional. The gold standard approach when dealing with food intolerances and food sensitivities is to do an elimination diet. This may be helpful for some people and yet for others it can still leave a lot of unanswered questions and unpleasant symptoms.

I believe it’s critical to consider gut health at the same time as considering what foods you may be reacting to. I use genetic testing and functional testing which includes a gut barrier panel alongside testing for food sensitivities. A guided elimination diet, plus supporting gut health and with fortnightly support is the approach I have found to be particularly helpful for my clients.

So, if you're tired of feeling frustrated, it's time to find relief, gain knowledge, get support, and embrace FOOD FREEDOM. Start your journey today, together, we'll transform your health and well-being, one step at a time. Your journey to FOOD FREEDOM starts now!

About Nutritional Therapy

Nutritional Therapists apply the latest hypotheses and research in nutrition and health sciences to you and your symptoms and they come up with a diet, lifestyle and (sometimes) supplement plan to support those needs.

They might bring in some coaching to help you put the ideas into practice in a meaningful way or break through whatever barriers have held you back in the past.
