Empowering Lives Through Nutrition and Lifestyle Medicine: Introducing Lisa McPherson

(MSc, mBANT, rCNHC)

My name is Lisa McPherson, I’m a nutritionist (MSc, rCNHC, mBANT) and I work with people like you, who suffer with symptoms such as heartburn, acid reflux, food intolerances, IBS, Candida and SIBO. Before stepping into the world of nutrition, I had the privilege of serving as part of the esteemed British Airways cabin crew. However, life had other plans in store for me, and a new chapter was about to unfold.

It all started with my third child, a little bundle of joy with a picky palate and a susceptibility to frequent illnesses as well as allergies to dust and grass. Following this my fourth child suffered from severe constipation due to a dairy sensitivity.

As a concerned mother, I was determined to find a way to support my children. That's when the seeds of transformation were sown, and I made the decision to depart from the skies and embark on a different path. As I learned more about nutrition and lifestyle medicine, my passion to help my family and others suffering from similar issues grew immensely. It was a calling I couldn't ignore.

My mission is to help you find FOOD FREEDOM, to add as many foods back into your diet as possible so that you can learn to love food again.

My journey has brought me here, and I am dedicated to guiding and supporting you on your path to a healthier and happier life. Today, as a specialist in food intolerances, food sensitivities, and gut health.

I fully understand the frustration, confusion, and challenges that you may be facing.

  1. Constant Digestive Discomfort: Dealing with bloating, gas, acid reflux, abdominal pain, diarrhoea or constipation after consuming certain foods can be a daily struggle and interfere with work, relationships, and overall quality of life.

  2. Limited Food Options: Food intolerances may restrict access to a wide range of delicious dishes, leaving individuals with fewer choices for meals and snacks.

  3. Social Isolation: Attending gatherings or dining out can become stressful as those with food sensitivities worry about finding suitable options and feeling excluded from shared meals.

  4. Fear of Accidental Exposure: The constant fear of accidentally consuming trigger foods can lead to anxiety and hyper-vigilance when eating outside of home.

  5. Nutrient Deficiencies: Eliminating certain food groups due to sensitivities may result in nutrient deficiencies, leading to fatigue, weakness, and other health issues.

  6. Emotional Toll: The frustration and emotional stress of not being able to enjoy favourite foods or feeling misunderstood by others can take a toll on mental well-being.

  7. Hidden Ingredients: Identifying and avoiding trigger foods can be challenging, as many processed foods contain hidden allergens or irritants.

  8. Meal Planning Challenges: Preparing meals that cater to specific sensitivities can be time-consuming and require careful consideration of ingredients.

  9. Impact on Family and Social Life: Food sensitivities can affect family meals and celebrations, causing stress for both the individual and their loved ones.

  10. Lack of Convenience: Limited availability of free-from options at restaurants or convenience stores can make eating on-the-go challenging.

  11. Health Consequences: Unaddressed food sensitivities can lead to chronic health issues, affecting the immune system and overall well-being.

  12. Overwhelm : Navigating the vast amount of information on food intolerances and sensitivities can be overwhelming and confusing.

You've probably tried various diets, eliminated certain foods, and still haven't found the answers or got the relief that you're looking for. It's time to put an end to the guesswork, get some support and regain control of your health.
